Most prepper media feature single or family men, or lady homesteaders who are married with kids, houses, and land. Single Moms and Single Females (SMSFs), especially those in urban or close suburbs, are not well represented in the prepper community, and I intend to change that!
From losing a job to a natural disaster to a zombie apocalypse, you CAN be a prepper with limited space and a tight budget. I'm happy to show you how with grit, grace, and humor. I also touch upon social issues that impact my SMSF community. While SMSFs are my focus, ALL ARE WELCOME HERE!

A very engaging and informative interview with John and Sonya of Women's Firearm Academy. We discuss the proper approach to gun ownership when you're ready, and ensuring you're doing what you can to avoid using it unless you really have to. John, a law enforcement professional, provides great tips on situational awareness, deescalation, and how your location shouldn't change your approach to personal safety. Sonya talks about putting these tactics in practice as an active mom. Both talk about transitioning WFA to Vigilant Family, as they have, through their experiences, embrace and promote the idea of family - and single moms - as a strong unit where everyone plays an important part in their safety and preparedness.
